Held at Edith Cowan University, more than 7000 people attended the free City of Joondalup event themed Once Upon a Time, which included an imagination playground and obstacle course, puppet shows, outdoor musical performances, roving entertainment, pony rides, animal farm and interactive workshops.

For the first time, the festival featured a toddler area with age-appropriate activities and the Goodstart Early Learning program teaching them how to learn through goop, clay, water and natural minerals.

A parent area offered hand massages and cups of tea and coffee.
