THE two luckiest Scratch’n’Win suburbs in Perth have been revealed, with southern suburbs Belmont and Willetton top of the pile.

“Belmont is right up there, producing five Top Prize wins worth $150,000,” Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said.

“Willetton comes in a little less at three but these wins were worth a staggering $295,000.”

Lotterywest said it gave away nearly $58 million worth of Scratch’n’Win prize money throughout 2017, with more than 23 million tickets sold.

Of the more notable wins, a Noranda truck driver picked up a cool $50,000 while a single mother from Joondalup – incredibly – won $100,000 twice.

A northern suburbs grandmother won $35,000 after cashing in big in a Scratch’n’Win second chance draw.

After originally throwing out the non-winning Scratchie, Janina spent 20 minutes searching through her wheelie bin after realising she could enter the second chance draw.

And it was well worth the effort.

“I’ve never won anything,” Janina said.

“This is almost as much as I used to earn in year.

“I can’t believe I almost threw out $35,000.

“I’m over the moon – I can afford to spoil my grandkids this Christmas.”
