Police said the man was not a Western Power employee.

It will be alleged the man had a personal relationship with the Western Power employee who has already been charged as part of this investigation.

Police will allege that through that relationship, the business he is associated with financially benefited from the tender or contract arrangements that were facilitated.

The 55-year-old man from Iluka has been charged with 26 counts of acting corruptly in the performance/discharge of functions and one count of attempted corruption.

He is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
