Perth doctor ‘prescribed herself drugs’

A DOCTOR in Perth has been charged after she allegedly altered patients’ information in order to prescribe medications to herself.

Police allege the practitioner unlawfully used a restricted access computer on 14 separate occasions to alter patient prescriptions so she could prescribe herself medications.

The 37-year-old Kingsley doctor, who was employed in a northern suburbs clinic at the time of the alleged crimes, has been charged with 14 counts of unlawful use of a restricted computer system to gain a benefit.

She will appear before Joondalup Magistrates Court today.
