ST Mark’s Anglican Community School student Megan Langridge (17) won the Zonta Club of Perth Northern Suburbs’ 2015 Young Women in Public Affairs Award.

The award program aims to encourage young women to take part in public affairs.

Runners-up were St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School’s Sophia Drazevic and Sacred Heart College’s Isabelle Siegwart.

The three finalists captivated the audience of over 70 speaking on the topic ‘The Woman Who Most Inspires Me’.

Year 12 student Megan said she was passionate about social justice and human rights and wanted to pursue a career where she could actively use her strengths to make a difference.

“I aim to engage in studies to do with international relations,” she said.
