AFTER three months of hard work, artist Horatio T. Birdbath has put the final touches on the City of Joondalup’s latest artwork.

Titled Microcosms of Beauty, the mural had added colour to the toilet block at Whitfords Nodes in Hillarys.

The hand-drawn artwork features a series of spheres which vary in intensity as they traverse the wall, with Birdbath’s trademark style linking each sphere together.

The City commissioned the artwork as part of its Mural Arts Program to enhance public spaces.

It will be graffiti coated and a plaque will credit him with the work.

Mayor Albert Jacob said there was nothing like this artwork anywhere else in Joondalup.

“Horatio is a very colourful character and it was great to host him for the past three months,” he said.

“He has transformed a drab toilet wall into a spectacular artwork that, like all good artwork, will get people talking.”

Birdbath said he enjoyed his time working in the City of Joondalup with a warm welcome from the community.
