THE Mitchell Freeway was closed for close to five hours today due to a crash southbound at Ocean Reef Road.
The crash happened just before 11am and involved a diesel spill.
Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended the scene.
The Freeway was reopened just before 4pm, with a 60km/h speed limit in place.
