AFTER starting modelling just nine months ago, Jasmine Basioli is already making her way in the industry.

Last year, she placed in the top 10 in the national final of her first pageant, Face Of The Globe Australia, and now she is a state finalist in this year’s Miss Teen Galaxy Australia.

The Burns Beach 14-year-old said she started modelling to “build self-confidence and try something new”.

“My friend and I started off by taking pictures together at the beach and the park, like models do in the magazines,” she said.

“We did this for about a year and I loved being in front of the camera, so I decided to take a modelling course.

“After the course, I knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

“I have met some of the most wonderful people you could ever meet and I get to support amazing charities.”

She said she was overwhelmed and excited to be a state finalist.

“The first thing I did was start looking for sponsors and planning charity events that afternoon,” she said.

“I could not wait to get started with everything.

“I am so determined to make it to the national final, it would be such an amazing experience.”
