NAVAL cadets from across WA visited Hillarys recently for the TS Marmion unit’s annual sailing regatta.

Cadets from Albany, Mandurah and Cockburn joined the local unit for sailing and other activities between September 30 to October 6.

The Albany crew won the regatta, with a TS Marmion team that included Alannah Brown (Mindarie Senior High School graduate), Lily Darlington (Ocean Reef SHS) and Isabella Hawke (Carine SHS) second.

Another TS Marmion crew came third, with Finn Jackson (Duncraig SHS), Lachlan Hopper (Carine SHS) and Lawrence Barron on board and the unit also secured sixth and eighth spots.

“The week was a resounding success with all having a great deal of fun,” commanding officer Clare McCaskie said.
