Navrang Hindu festival brings 5400 people to Joondalup

ABOUT 5400 people attended a Hindu festival over four nights in Joondalup this month.

Northern suburbs band Sweet Melodies hosted its annual Navrang Festival to mark the Navratri celebrations at HBF Arena on October 12, 13, 19 and 20.

Organiser Lalit Doolabh said about 1400 people attended each Saturday with another 1300 people joining the music and dance festivities on the Friday nights.

The band will donate part proceeds from the entry fees to the Leukaemia Foundation and the Heart Foundation, which plans to use the funds for a defibrillator at Lake Grace.
