RECOMMENDATIONS contained in the City of Joondalup’s local housing strategy came in to effect on Friday.
Planning Minister John Day approved an amendment to the City’s district planning scheme in December, which would implement the recommendations through a notification in the Government Gazette.
This means people can now apply to subdivide and build in line with the amendment.

READ NOWDevelopment applications can be lodged with the City but applications for subdivision will need to be made to the Department of Planning.
The recommendations of the local housing strategy not implemented through the amendment have been brought into effect through the Residential Development and Height of Non Residential Buildings local planning policies.
