No parking at entrance to Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail in Joondalup

PARKING near the entrance to the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail – at the junction of Burns Beach Road and Mountain Drive in Joondalup – will no longer be allowed from next month.

The City of Joondalup will apply a ‘No Stopping Carriageway or Verge’ parking restriction on the footpath and a small section of the verge area near the entrance gate for public safety reasons.

It said this was because of an increase in vehicles parking on the footpath, which is illegal and puts the safety of pedestrians at risk.

The change will allow walkers and bike riders to easily use the trail and ensure the access gate to the adjacent Water Corporation site is kept clear.

The parking restriction will be applied on Monday, November 5.
