Noranda and Carramar men charged following Hillarys burglary

JOONDALUP detectives have charged two men in relation to an aggravated burglary in Hillarys yesterday.

Police allege about 9am on November 13, two men attended the house in Cook Avenue to demand money from a 30-year-old man who was visiting and known to them.

When police arrived, the two men fled on foot and one man entered the yard of a 76-year-old man and allegedly pushed that man in the chest when he blocked his escape.

Detectives charged a Noranda man (26) with aggravated home burglary, making a threat, aggravated robbery, deprivation of liberty, aggravated assault with intent to resist arrest and trespass.

They charged a Carramar man (30) with aggravated home burglary, making a threat, aggravated robbery and deprivation of liberty.

Both men are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today.
