Northern suburbs teens head to Sydney for Australian Dance Festival

NORTHERN suburbs teenagers Laura Doleman and Emma Dawson will join thousands of dancers in Sydney this month for the Australian Dance Festival.

Fifteen-year-old Laura, of Woodvale, and 16-year-old Emma, of Kingsley, will take part in the ninth annual festival from September 13 to 15.

The event provides a platform for dancers of all ages to connect with the choreographers in various genres of dance and is expected to attract more than 6000 dancers, dance schools, teachers and choreographers.

It will include competitions and a grand showcase on the Saturday night where dancers, schools and troupes perform their own choreographies.

Laura and Emma will dance in the event finale, Prodigy, which is a professional performance by the Dream Dance Co.
