Ocean Reef students learn how to defend

Gladiator Wrestling self-defence instructor Lance Kinnaird said Scott Kinner and Helen Grujic asked the Osborne Park-based business to run a self-defence class for their special needs students on May 20.

“The purpose of the day is to get the kids involved in more physical activities and martial arts is a fun alternative to traditional sports,” he said.

“The self-defence program teaches them how to detect a potential threat, defuse it before it occurs and if necessary defend themselves.
