A PADBURY school fundraising run was more vibrant this year, with participants doused in coloured powder.

Bambara Primary School P&C president Shelley Webb said the November 10 event raised almost $3180 with about 150 students taking part.

Mrs Webb said teachers and about 80 parents joined in the Bambara Colour Fun Run to raise funds for the mathletics and reading programs.

She said funds would also go towards other school projects, such as the kitchen garden and a naturescape sensory garden.

“The atmosphere was fantastic,” she said.

“It was wonderful to see the whole school community involved and the kids were so excited to take part.

“The day was a great success and we look forward to making it even bigger and better next year.”

Principal Linda Knox said the fundraiser also promoted “healthy minds and healthy bodies” and involved the whole school community.
