PARTICIPANTS are needed for an ECU study investigating sources of anxiety for children with cancer who spend time in hospital.

The research team is interested in developing supportive therapies that would aid mental health care and build resilience for child cancer patients.

Participants needed include:

  • Children currently aged 12 to 16 years who were admitted to hospital for any reason for one week or more when they were aged eight to 15 years
  • Youngsters currently aged 12 to 21 years who have or have recovered from cancer and been admitted to hospital for one week or more when they were aged eight to 15 years
  • Parents and guardians of children who have or have recovered from cancer and been admitted to hospital for one week or more when they were aged eight to 15 years

Participants would take part in an hour-long, semi-structured, audio-recorded interview with researchers, and can withdraw from the study at any time.
