WOMEN with pre-diabetes or who have been recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes are needed for a study.
The ECU project will investigate whether a diet high in a fibre called resistant starch can improve blood glucose levels.
Participants will wear a small sensor on their upper arm which will monitor their glucose levels.
The study will compare blood glucose levels in a group of women eating their usual diet with women who are asked to eat more resistant starch from food or a supplement.
Volunteers need to be non-vegetarian, not yet taking medication for diabetes and own a smart phone.
They will also need to attend two appointments at ECU Joondalup.
