Participants needed for ECU survey on new year resolutions

IT is that time of year again when people often set new year resolutions.

Those aged 18 or older who have or want to make a resolution for 2019 are invited to take part in an online study.

ECU Associate Professor Joanne Dickson said past research had shown people’s new year resolutions tended to “quickly fall by the wayside”.

“Our study aims to investigate what helps people to stick to their new year resolutions – or not,” she said.

“You will be asked to list a new year resolution you are committed to for 2019 and to complete a series of online questionnaires across four time points.

“In the first survey, you will be asked questions about your resolution, personality and wellbeing, which should take approximately 20 minutes.

“Each of the remaining three sessions (two, four and eight weeks later) should take no more than five minutes.”

Complete the survey at bit.ly/2A581g7 before January 13.
