Party peacemaker in critical condition after being attacked outside Padbury home

A 38-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after trying to break up a fight outside a party at his house.

The man was bashed unconscious after a group of people tried to gatecrash a party at his home in Padbury.

After the group was refused entry to the party, in Vernon Place, early on Sunday, they started fighting partygoers in the street outside, police say.

The man trying to stop the fight fell to the road when assaulted and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital in a critical condition.

Police believe 10 to 15 young men attended the house and the group may have been involved in other incidents around the Padbury area that night.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who encountered the group on Saturday night, or that has mobile phone vision from the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to make a report online at crimestopperswa.com.au
