As part of the project, a four-metre wide path will be constructed on the western side of the freeway extension, spanning 16.35km.
Four underpasses and a bridge will be included in the network and on Neerabup Road and Hester Avenue there will be shared paths and provision for on-road cyclists.
The existing pedestrian and cycling facilities on Burns Beach Road will be maintained while the duplicated Wanneroo Road will feature two-metre wide sealed shoulders on both sides of the road for cyclists.
