Pedestrian dies following Ocean Reef crash

UPDATE, February 12: A CLARKSON man (32) died in hospital following a crash in Ocean Reef early on Sunday morning.

WA Police confirmed today that the pedestrian struck by a car about 3.35am on February 11 had died from his injuries at Royal Perth Hospital.

The 62-year-old man driving the Ford Falcon involved was not injured.

A PEDESTRIAN is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Ocean Reef this morning.

WA Police are investigating the crash that occurred about 3.35am on February 11.

According to police, a grey 2008 model Ford Falcon sedan struck a pedestrian on Marmion Road near Ocean Reef Road.‬

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, received serious injuries and St John Ambulance took him to Joondalup Health Campus before he was transferred to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police have asked people to avoid the area, with road blocks in place on Marmion Avenue northbound between Marina Boulevard and Mermaid Way. UPDATE, 11.55am: Marmion Avenue has reopened:
