Rachel FennerJoondalup Times

A PERTH mum’s hack to getting her child to take medicine without a fuss has been hailed as “genius” on social media.

Ruth Uddhammer, who lives in the northern suburbs, struggled to get her child to take medicine.

Lillian, who is 22 months old, would spit out her medicine and refuse to take it.

It was after Lillian had been sick for three days that Ruth’s bright idea came to her.

She cut a hole in a juice box container and insert the straw in the medicine.

Ruth made sure to keep the medicine hidden from Lillian and like magic the toddler happily sucked it down.

More than 805 people have reacted to the video on the Perth Mums Group Facebook page.

“You win the internet tonight,” one mother wrote.

“I seriously think you should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. You could have single handed solved so many stressful times for parents,” another mother added.

“Will this work on husbands with man flu?” another woman quipped.
