Perth woman charged with assaulting police after crash

A WOMAN has been charged with assaulting a police officer on Saturday, June 1.

A Brighton Road, Scarborough, resident called police after she reported seeing the 40-year-old Duncraig woman allegedly crash her car into a tree at 8.30am and attempt to leave the scene.

The woman allegedly refused to give her details to attending officers and became argumentative.

After being handcuffed, she then allegedly kicked one of the officers.

She will face charges of assaulting a police officer and failing to give personal details at Perth Magistrates Court on July 1.
