A SWAN Valley sunset will provide the perfect backdrop for an upcoming fundraising picnic.
Picnic in the Grove has been organised by North Metro Tafe Joondalup event management students Emily Sullivan, Harriet Springett, Jack Leighton-Jones, Jess White and Telia Voss to raise funds for men’s health charity, the Movember Foundation.
Held at the Oakover Grounds winery from 3.30pm to 7.30pm on November 17, it will feature boxed finger food and a donut wall, giant lawn games, live acoustic music, raffles, a silent auction, and a live moustache competition that guests are encouraged to take part in.

“The event aims to incorporate a fun day out in the sunny Swan Valley while highlighting a condition that many community members are affected by,” Dragonfly Events coordinator Jack Leighton-Jones said.
“By reducing the stigma surrounding men’s health, the Movember Foundation aims to reduce male suicide rates and encourage open and honest conversations surrounding mental illness and its affect on friends, family and the wider community.”
He said the team chose to support Movember because of their personal experiences with mental health and illness.
Tickets are $65 from dragonflyevents2019@gmail.com before November 10.
