LAKESIDE Joondalup Shopping City became a training ground for the WA Police canine unit on Wednesday.

Shoppers will continue to see an increased presence of officers and their dogs at the centre as the police rolls out its narcotics detection training program.

To ensure the public is made aware of the training, highly visible signage will be in place and the dogs will be clearly marked.
