Puppets mark City of Joondalup Book Week

A PUPPET workshop was one of the highlights of the City of Joondalup’s free events held last month to celebrate Book Week.

The series of events attracted more than 2000 local students to the City’s four library branches between August 20 and 26.

Spare Parts Puppet Theatre puppeteer Leon Hendroff visited Duncraig Library to give a workshop on acting, story creation, puppet manipulation, introducing children to performance skills through improvisation and storytelling.

Celebrating its 71st anniversary, this year’s Book Week theme was Australia: Story Country.
