A SUPERMARKET in Connolly is proposed to be transformed into three tenancies.
The City of Joondalup has received a planning application to convert the supermarket at 1 Glenelg Place into three tenancies: childcare centre, consulting room for medical practitioners and shop.
The childcare would operate from 7am to 6pm and have a maximum capacity of 100 children and 17 staff.
It would involve modifications to the Fairway Circle frontage to provide an awning and outdoor play area with Perspex panels proposed as part of the fencing to reduce noise spill.
The consulting room would operate from 7.30am to 8pm with a maximum of two practitioners, and the shop would accommodate a 573sq m supermarket.
The application requires the City to exercise discretion with regards to childcare being a discretionary land use, retaining walls proposed taller than 1m on Fairway Circle and sold fencing higher than 2m, and the outdoor play equipment store and awning setback a minimum of 1m from the southern boundary.
The City is seeking feedback on the proposal until July 19 via email@example.com.
