WANNEROO-Joondalup RSL and the City of Joondalup will hold a Remembrance Day ceremony at the war memorial in Central Park from 10.45am tomorrow.
The service commemorates the 97th anniversary of the Armistice signing which marked the end of World War I.
The guest speaker will be Afghanistan war veteran Steve Cloutman, with the Reverend John Myles to offer the Benediction prayer and Joondalup Senior Sergeant Craig Wanstall to recite the Ode.
The Beaumaris Primary School choir will lead the national anthem.
One minute’s silence will be observed at 11am. Poppies will be available and attendees will be able to lay wreaths.
“The resurgence in numbers commemorating services like Anzac Day and Remembrance Day over the past few years in Joondalup is a welcomed demonstration of the broad community appreciation, young and old alike, for the sacrifices made by servicemen and women,” Joondalup Mayor Troy Pickard said.
