Sacred Heart shines in exams

In particular, head girl and 2015 dux Charlotte Groom has been commended for scoring an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of 99.9, which puts her in the top 1 per cent of the state.

She also received four School Curriculum and Standards Authority awards – a General Exhibition, given to the top 41 WA Certificate of Education students in the state, certificates of distinction in mathematics and modern history and a certificate of commendation.

Ms Groom has been offered a place at UWA’s bachelor of philosophy program.

Also scoring an ATAR above 99 was Karalee Beavan (99.4), Isabelle Siegwart (99.35) and Alexandra Konogorova (99.15), while 25 students scored above 95, which puts them in the top 5 per cent of WA.

The school also had another nine students receive School Curriculum and Standards Authority awards, with Caelan Plane receiving a certificate of distinction in physical education studies and certificates of commendation awarded to Ms Beavan, Ms Siegwart, Ms Konogorova, Jennifer Rojano, Alexander Kramer, Meghan Baronet, Samuel Cahill, Jasmine Naylor and Emma Marchesani.
