Science boost for Mullaloo Beach Primary’s young inquiring minds

MULLALOO Beach Primary School pre-primary students will start their science education early.

Last month, the school’s early learning unit received a $500 donation from Mullaloo IGA for science equipment such as a light table, microscopes and meccano sets.

“This is to encourage the investigation and science mindset in all students as STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) is a focus in modern education,” pre-primary teacher Kerry Wright said.

“Mullaloo Beach provides a specialist science program and we are preparing the children to link in directly upon starting in Year 1.

“The children are very excited about the new equipment,” he said.
