“We are waiting in anticipation for what we hope will be some clever and creative one-minute films from the talented students in this category,” principal Donella Beare said.

“We are building the film festival as an annual event and, with the support of the City of Joondalup, we are hoping to receive submissions from local secondary students of an even higher standard than the past two years.”

Interested applicants must attend a primary or secondary school in the City of Joondalup.

Entries close on October 5, with five prizes available in two categories.

The award presentation and screenings will take place in the theatre of St Stephen’s School on October 17 with judging by film experts from Edith Cowan University.
