West Australians: Take a photo of yourself for MOSAIC project

Lucy JarvisJoondalup Times

Now in its fourth year, the photography project explores the collective memory of people in the State over a 24-hour period, with photo themes to range from beach days, breakfast dates and football games, to weddings and dog walks.

All submissions will be exhibited in a display at the 140 Perth complex, October 30 to November 8.

“It’s a great way to share a moment from your day with different parts of your community,” creative director Mark Storen said. “MOSAIC is for all Western Australians, whether they reckon they’re artists or not. We are all creative.”

Project development officer Jessica Harlond-Kenny said whilst the project celebrated great photography through the people’s choice award_, which was won by Hayden Burnaby in 2014, MOSAIC gave everyone the opportunity to be an exhibiting artist.

“You can submit your photo, from your day, then see it at your exhibition, with your family and friends, celebrating your life in this State,” she said.
