PREMIER Mark McGowan caught the train to Joondalup this morning to spruik his Government’s Budget spending for the northern suburbs.

“We’re spending nearly $800 million on road and rail initiatives in the north,” he said.

“This is all about busting congestion and creating jobs and putting in place long-term planning for our suburbs.

“There will be rail extension to Yanchep, significant improvements on Wanneroo Road, Marmion Avenue extension.

“Anyone who lives in the north will know that in the morning the congestion is diabolical and we want to improve that by putting in place better rail access and better roads to meet the needs of the people of the north.”
