Streetscape gets brighter on Joondalup Drive

Justin BianchiniJoondalup Times

ELECTRICAL contractor Interlec WA has begun replacing street lights in Joondalup Drive for the City of Joondalup.

More than 1400 poles will be replaced in the city centre in the $1.72 million project.

It follows a council decision earlier this year based on the old poles deteriorating and some even falling over.

The new aluminium poles will have LED lighting and result in light levels on the road increasing by up to 30 per cent.
