A SUNSET street food market overlooking Lake Joondalup will launch next week.

Farmers Markets WA will start a weekly Lake Joondalup Street Eats on December 9 at Neil Hawkins Park in Joondalup.

There will be more than 30 international street food vendors, live music and a licensed bar area.

The organisers also run the Burns Beach Twilight Market and said the Joondalup event resulted from requests received over the past year.

“We are all about providing a safe and relaxing community environment for families and their friends and encourage customers to bring their blankets and chairs to enjoy an evening picnic whilst the sun goes down,” market manager Clare Gallagher said.

“Food and music is such an important part of life and we like to create an atmosphere where those pleasures are enhanced.”

The weekly markets will run from 5pm to 8.30pm from Monday, December 9 until Easter 2020.
