Surfers learn rescue skills at Mullaloo Beach

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

LOCAL surfers brushed up on their rescue skills at Mullaloo Beach earlier this month.

The Surfers Rescue 365 program saw a large group of participants take part in a one-hour session learning and practising different response and board rescue techniques, both on the beach and in the water.

They then moved to the Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club where they were taken through a two-hour session of basic first aid, CPR, bleeding and shock management and defibrillation and tourniquet techniques.
