Osborne Park woman charged with more than 300 counts of fraud

AN Osborne Park woman has been charged with more than 300 counts of fraud after an investigation into elaborate offences spanning nine months.

Joondalup Detectives have charged the woman with 312 fraud counts valued at more than $31,000.

The woman allegedly attended various supermarkets of the same chain throughout Perth to gain a benefit from fraudulent transactions.

A police spokeswoman said the refunded money from goods were deposited into her bank account via a bankcard.

“These transactions were carried out when she later returned goods, including cookware items and cosmetics, which are alleged to be stolen,” she said.

“The transactions are alleged to have occurred between 7 July 2015 and 19 March 2016,” she said.

The woman will face Joondalup Magistrates Court on April 20.
