MUSICAL quartet The Honey B’s is looking to take its performances to more nursing homes and aged care facilities.

Formed in 2015, The Andrews Sisters-style harmony group first started singing at nursing homes around Perth hoping to “give back to the older generation and bring smiles to the faces of the residents”.

“We love it when the residents start singing along with us as it takes their minds back to happy memories from their past,” member Sharelle Walker said.

“Also it is extremely rewarding when the residents with dementia start joining in because they often do not recognise their families but they recognise our songs.”

The group performs classic songs from the 1920s to the 1970s with venues including nursing and aged care homes and retirement villages as well as birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties, high teas and other functions.
