The Spiers Centre hosts high tea

THE Spiers Centre will hold a high tea to celebrate Neighbourhood Centre Week and Families Week next Wednesday.

The not-for-profit organisation in Heathridge will showcase its work to provide support and information to empower people in the community during Neighbourhood Centre Week, which runs from May 6 to 12.

“Neighbourhood and community resource centres work at the heart of their communities,” community services manager Rod Sweett said.

“The Spiers Centre is a centre for support, information and empowerment of individuals; bringing families and community together.

“We offer activities, programs and services that aim to make a positive difference and strive towards our vision for strong, caring and resilient communities.”

The centre will host an afternoon tea from 12.30pm to 2.30pm on May 8 at 2 Albatross Court.

People are encouraged to wear mad hats and wigs for the event, which will include door prizes and a raffle.
