The Spiers Centre hosts neighbourly high tea in Heathridge

THE Spiers Centre held a high tea to celebrate Neighbourhood Centres Week and Families Week this month.

The not-for-profit organisation in Heathridge hosted about 30 people at the May 8 event, which showcased its work to provide support and information to empower people in the community.

“The Spiers Centre is a centre for support, information and empowerment of individuals, bring families and community together,” community services manager Rod Sweett said.

Mr Sweett said the centre held playgroups and adult social groups during school terms.
