Catholic Homes' Trinity Village residents and their families enjoyed a ballroom dancing demonstration and entertainment by singer Neil Simpson on July 31.

Catholic Homes occupational therapist Kate Deacon said the festivities included music from different eras to bring back memories for the residents.

"Some of our residents are originally from the northern hemisphere, so our Christmas in July celebration is a gorgeous way to relive childhood memories of snowy white Christmases," she said.

"We (were) encouraging residents" families to join the festivities too.

"Older people can be lonely in residential aged care because sometimes their own families might not be able to visit very often, so this is something to look forward to and really lifts the atmosphere."
