Garage Sale Trail leads to less going to landfill

This year’s event, which involves co-ordinated garage sales throughout the country, will be on Saturday, October 24. Mayor Troy Pickard is encouraging residents and community groups to get involved as buyers and sellers.

“The Garage Sale Trail provides a platform for making money, fundraising, socialising and being creative, as well as making recycling and sustainability fun,” he said.
