Trio charged over Joondalup robbery attempt

TWO men and a woman allegedly attempted to rob two men as they sat in a car in Joondalup last week.

Police said the victims were parked near Lakeside Drive when three people accosted them about 8pm.

A 44-year-old woman is accused of demanding a mobile phone before one of her male accomplices allegedly wrapped his hands around the neck of one of the victims.

Officers said the trio fled without any items.

It is further alleged that the three threw rocks at residents on Lakeside Drive.

Police charged the woman and two men, who were aged 23 and 26, with attempted aggravated armed robbery.

Inquiries are continuing into other people involved.
