Two Wanneroo swimmers shine Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge

IT was Team Aussie versus Team Asia at the recent Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge.

The March 26 and 27 event at Challenge Stadium had 271 WA swimmers take on athletes from Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Aqua Attack Swimming Club, based in Wanneroo, congratulated two of its members for their strong performances.

Emily Plumb took nearly three seconds off her entry time in the breaststroke event to win the bronze medal and swam a 1.5-second personal best time in backstroke, while Josh Dobbyn also recorded some of his season’s best times.

The final score was 10,583 points to Team Aussie against 8284 to Team Asia.
