Unbeaten in the Beat: Defeat the Beat winners

Tyler BrownJoondalup Times

METAL duo Miles Green and Jarrod Michael are this year’s Defeat the Beat winners, held earlier this month at Arcade Nightclub in Joondalup.

With influences including Iron Maiden, Metallica and Avenged Sevenfold, the lads took the top prize that includes a set at a City of Joondalup event next year, 10 hours in a professional recording studio and a $500 Joondalup Music Centre voucher.

The City of Joondalup event saw residents aged 12 to 18 performing a range of musical styles, including instrumental, post grunge, progressive metal and a cappella in front of family and friends.
