WA Day creates week-long celebration at Joondalup schools

JOONDALUP Primary School and its education support centre celebrated their home state all last week in honour of WA Day.

Acting associate principal Stacey Young said the week-long celebration included creating a map of things students love about WA, making bookmarks with artwork from the school’s Aboriginal liaison officer and a WA-themed assembly.

“They then participated in a series of tabloid games on the school oval to the tunes of WA artists.

“Games included three-legged races, marbles, quoits, egg and spoon races, skipping and many more.”
