PRO athletes will team up with amateur campaigners to undergo a 24-hour treadmill run in the name of suicide prevention at boxer Danny Green’s gym in Warwick this weekend.

The third annual Plebs, Pros and Personalities event will raise funds for Suicide Prevention Australia.

Organiser Tom Scollay said the event, hosted by Green Zone on Beach Road, continued to grow since its first year in 2015.

“The Perth event has generated a considerable following among the community,” he said.

“More than 250 people have participated in the 2015 and 2016 events.”

Previous participants have included Green, Test cricketer Shaun Marsh, WA bowler Jason Behrendorff and MMA fighter Soa the Hulk.

The event will run from 4pm on Friday to 4pm Saturday.
