Warwick Bowling Club celebrates 25-year milestone

Staff WriterJoondalup Times

WARWICK Bowling Club celebrated its 25th year this month.

The club formed in June 1993, starting out with a temporary club house which is now the greenkeeper’s workshop.

With the hard work of volunteers and fund raising events, members bowled on their first green in October 1996 and moved into a club house in September 1999.

The club now has three greens and a synthetic course and is in discussions with the City of Joondalup to increase the size of its clubrooms.

It has about 500 bowlers and social members and held a luncheon in November to celebrate the 25-year milestone.

It hosts community bowls every Wednesday night and offers meals supplied by Topolini’s Cafe on Friday nights.

Social membership is $15 a year and the venue can be hired for social events such as birthdays or seminars.
