Warwick SHS announced secondary winner in Governor’s School STEM Awards

WARWICK Senior High School won the secondary category in the 2018 Governor’s School STEM Award on Monday.

The awards, announced on November 26, recognised excellence in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) leadership.

After being a runner-up in 2017, Warwick SHS won the $2000 leadership excellence award this year for demonstrating a high commitment to “STEM for all”, with clear integration of this philosophy and STEM skills into the classroom and as a focus for delivering the curriculum.

Winning schools and runners-up will receive an invitation to visit Government House, as well as a visit to Scitech for 90 students.

The Governor’s School STEM Awards are delivered through Scitech with the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.

Perth College – meritorious leadership award (runner-up)
